The statement of army spokesman Maj Gen Asif Gafoor came a few hours after Swaraj's arrival that no Pakistani soldier or civilian was killed in an air strike on a terrorist camp in Balakot, Pakistan, in February.

Pakistan has denied that the Indian Air Force's jets attacked the militants in Balakot.
In Ahmedabad, addressing BJP workers of BJP, Swaraj said that the Indian Army was given "free hand" in the operation, but it was clearly stated that no Pakistani citizen should be killed and Pakistani The army should have "not even a scratched".
They said, "We told them (international community) that our air attack was in self defense ... we gave the army an independent hand, but had given two directions - no Pakistani citizen (no civilian citizen of Pakistan) Pakistan's army should not be touched.
"Your goal should be to the terrorists of JEM, who took responsibility for killing 40 people in Pulwama," he said.
In response to the Pulwama attack on February 14, the IAF attacked Pakistan's JeM-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist training camp on February 26, in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
Pakistan had explicitly said that no F-16 Fighter jet was used and denied that one of its aircraft was dropped down by the Indian Air Force.
Stress increased between India and Pakistan after the Pulwama attack.
India launched a counter-terrorism campaign against a JM training camp in Balakot. The next day, the Pakistan Air Force took retaliation and dropped MiG-21 into an air battle and caught the pilot, who was handed over to India in March.(KN18)
