JRL calls for strike today in polling areas

Srinagar: 10 October (KN18) On Tuesday, Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Omar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik requested people to stop a full protest in those areas where the second phase of civil elections will be organized.
Leaders also asked people to show their "total disconnection and dismissal" by staying away from "election drama".
“Strike should be observed in Solina, Aloochibagh, SD Colony Batamaloo, Ziarat Batamaloo, Shaheed Gunj, Karangar, Chattabal, Qamarwari, Bemina east, Bemina west, Nundresh Colony, Parimpora, Zainakote, Lawaypora, Mujgund, Tankipora, Habba Kadal, Barbarshah, Fateh Kadal and Munawarbad areas of Srinagar,” a statement issued by the JRL said. It has been said in the statement that strike in Langate, Sumbal, Kunzar, Watergam, Charar-e-Sharif, Beerwah, Magam, Yeripora, Frisal, Anantnag and Bijbeera should also be seen.(KN18)
