Maisuma markets shuts after his family addresses media’
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief is seriously ill as he was on hunger strike in New Delhi, his family said.
While addressing the press conference at their Maisuma residence, his family said: “Under NIA detention he was on hunger strike and he was seriously ill.”
The family said Malik said that their lawyer told them that he has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Soon after his family briefed about his deteriorating health condition, all the shops and other business establishments were closed in Maisuma area of Srinagar as a mark of protest.
Reports said that NIA official has cancelled his proposed meet with his legal counsel.
