The injured jawans have been admitted to Army's 92 Base Hospital, Badamibagh, Srinagar.
The CRPF official said, "44 CRPF personnel were involved with different battalions when the blast took place." He said that the CRPF personnel belonged to 92, 17 and 54 battalions.

JeM militant organization identified the attacker in the form of Adil Ahmed Dar alias Waqas commando.

After the blast, traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway was closed and even when the final report on the road came to a close. Immediately after the blast, government forces started searching in the entire area.

A police official said that forensic experts have taken samples as the investigation has been set in motion.
