Srinagar, 07 October (KN18) Qazi Ahmad Yassir, President of Ummat-e-Islami and Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, called Reddy Chalo on October 12 against the establishment of army camps in south Kashmir.
He also said that umat-e-Islami will create ballot papers on all the main sections of South Kashmir where people will be asked to choose between "freedom and India".
Addressing a press, Mirwaiz South Kashmir said, "We request a large number of people to come out and defeat India on the day of election in South Kashmir."
Mirwaiz said that despite his ill health, and one day after coming back from Hyderabad Hospital, he visited Radwani Kulgam area where a military camp has recently been established. Since then people of the area are watching the whole strike.
Mirwaiz said that four camps are located in less than three kilometers in Singam, in Khudvani in Frisal and now in Redwani Bala. He said, "This heavy presence of the army has scared the local population in the area of more than 6,000 residents."
Mirwaiz said that according to the 2011 census, Jammu Kashmir's population is more than 12 million, the number of residents in the state was 12,548,925. "There are estimated 700,000 security forces, which provide 70: 1200 force in the population ratio." This is not a small number. In reality, India has deployed 12-Kashmiri citizens to 1-soldiers. "
He said that the army has forcibly taken away the land from the local people, at least one thousand trees have been cut by 30 lakh rupees and no permission has been given to anyone. "Local people told me that if they are not removed from this area, then they are planning to migrate on a large scale."
Referring to a local Radhwani Mohammed Maqbool Malik, Mirwaiz said that he had saved the trees for the marriage of his two daughters. Mirwaiz Syed said, "Although the army cut them all overnight, Maqbool's life was disastrous."
"Doubts and fear continue to enter the residents of Radwani region. Knock at the door of the night late night sends a concern of anxiety through the houses, fearing that the government employees should leave a family member to" get out for a minute " And never come back again. The psychological trauma associated with violence is very big, because life is constantly in danger, "said Mirwaiz Kazi Yassir.
Regarding the election, he said: "We will tell the army that we are not afraid of them, we will come out in large numbers and will defeat our country, their elections," said Mirwaiz Kazi Yassir.
"I want to ask a very simple question: Why are the elections in the city and panchayat elections necessary for the last three years when Islamabad parliamentary constituency is vacant? Why is the life of less important or less privileged people in stake? Surely the poor who will participate in the election, why the Indian government wants to expand their vote bank politics on the blood of the common Kashmiris? Everyone has this problem Must try and try to separate himself from a fake drama. "
He further said: "We can not choose under the barrel of guns, you can not take camps, can not be more armed soldiers and then can claim fair elections, the center has to secure the election process The central paramilitary forces have provided additional 400 companies. "
He said that Ummat-e-Islami will keep ballot boxes in every main section of Islamabad and ask people to come out and choose between "freedom and India".
He demanded the release of political prisoners including Sarjan Barkati, Shabir Shah and others.(KN18)
